Winter Weather Advisory

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Pocahontas County. The advisory will be in effect from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

A mixture of snow, sleet and freezing rain may be expected, culminating in an accumulation of less than an inch of ice, with snow accumulation of one to two inches. Higher amounts may be expected on ridge tops.

Winds will be out of the southeast at 5 to 15 MPH, with gusts up to 25 MPH on ridge tops.

Temperature range of between 27 and 32 degrees.

Motorists should be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility.
