Magistrate Court
Thomas B. Oliver, of Bartow, was arrested on October 30 by State Police Tpr. N. J. Hersman and charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.ᅠ He was released on $2500 bond.
Thomas L. Lewis, of Cass, appeared before Magistrate Doshia Webb on the 30th and pled no contest to a charge of driving with his license suspended/revoked, non-DUI. He was fined $100 with $160.50 in court costs.ᅠ The complaint was filed by State Police Tpr. G. E. Galloway.
A domestic battery charge against Margaret E. Taylor, of Cass, was dismissed on the 30th following the expiration of a pre-trial diversion period.
Several hearings were held in Magistrate Beverageメs court on November 1.
Andrea S. Woody, of Marlinton, pled guilty to failure to comply with vehicle inspection.ᅠ She was fined $25 with $160.50 in court costs.ᅠ Charges of improper equipment and failure to appear for a hearing were dismissed.
Farrell G. Kelley, of Cass, was found guilty of littering.ᅠ He was fined $250 with court costs of $160.50 and a civil penalty of $1000.ᅠ Kelley has filed an appeal bond.
Richard J. Hamrick, of Snowshoe, had his home confinement revoked for 30 days, to be reinstatedᅠ on December 1 for four months.ᅠ He was placed on home confinement for six months in September on a charge of driving with his license suspended for DUI.
Steven L. Adkison, of Hillsboro, entered pleas of no contest to charges of assault on an officer and public intoxication.ᅠ He was sentenced to jail for six months on the first offense and 60 days on the second.ᅠ Court costs were $321.ᅠ Charges of obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct were dismissed.
James L. Green, of Marlinton, appeared in Magistrate Kathy Beverageメs court on the 2nd and entered a guilty plea to reckless driving.ᅠ He was sentenced to five days in jail, fined $100, and assessed $160.50 in court costs.ᅠ The charge was filed by State Police Tpr. F. H. Barlow.
