Magistrate Court

According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.

In Magistrate Kathy Beverage's court:

Samuel Wickline, 29, of Union, appeared in court January 20 on a charge of battery. He entered into pre-trial diversion for a period of 12 months to expire January 20, 2011. He can ask for a pre-trial after six moths. He was assessed $159.50 in court costs.

Ryan M. Sheppard, 32, of Snowshoe, was arrested January 21 on a charge of driving under the influence, second offense. Bond was set at $3,000. He was released from jail January 23.
Kenneth Ryan DeWitt pleaded guilty January 21 to charges of speeding, SR150 without permit (exceeding weight limit) and registration violation. He was assessed a $205 fine and $478.50 in court costs.

In Magistrate Janet Kershner-Vanover's court:

A charge of unlawful wounding against Roy Lynn Walker was transfered to circuit court January 21. He was assessed $10 in court costs.

Richard Beck, 45, of Marlinton, entered into a six month pre-trial diversion for charges of domestic battery and possession of a controlled substance, less than 15 grams. Bond was modified to allow contact with the alleged victim.

Christopher Thomas Watson, 33, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty on January 12 to a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was assessed a $250 fine, $159.50 in court costs and a $25 arrest fee.
