According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.
In Magistrate Kathy Beverage's court:
Barry Dean Atkins, 48, of Marlinton, was arrested February 18 on charges of no proof of insurance and possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at a total of $1,500. He was released from jail on the same day.
Larry A. Cutlip, 44, of Marlinton, was arrested February 20 on a charge of domestic battery. Bond was set at $2,500. He as released from jail the same day.
Arnold Schoolcraft, 26, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty February 18 to a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 15 grams. He was assessed a fine of $100, $159.50 in court costs and sentenced to six months jail with credit for time served. He pleaded no contest February 18 to a charge of domestic battery. He was assessed a $250 fine, $159.50 in court costs, $101 in arrest fees and sentenced to six months jail with credit for time served. A charge of obstructing an officer was dismissed February 18 because the complaint failed to adequately charge the offense.
Gary Wayne McKenney, 59, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty February 16 to a charge of driving suspended/revoked for DUI. He was assessed a $300 fine, $159.50 in court costs, a $25 arrest fee and sentenced to 30 days jail with credit for time served.
In Magistrate Janet Kershner's court:
William C. Martin, 58, of Hillsboro, was arrested February 17 on a charge of domestic battery. Bond was set at $2,500. He is currently housed at Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
Kimberly McDowell, 44, of Marlinton, appeared in court February 18 on charges of no proof of insurance and driving suspended/revoked for non-DUI. Bond was set at $1,000.
