Magistrate Court
According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.
Wendell Edward Johnson, 41, of Cass, appeared in court June 29 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 15 grams. He was assessed $165.50 in court costs.
Aaron Brunty, 24, of Baltimore, Maryland, was arrested June 28 on charges of driving suspended/revoked for DUI and no proof of insurance. Bond was set at $2,000. He is currently lodged at Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
Charlie Marie Waugh, 28, of Marlinton, appeared in court on a charge of providing alcohol to a minor. Bond was set at $500.
Casey A. Withers, 19, of Marlinton, appeared in court June 30 on a charge of driving under the influence. He was assessed $215.80 in court costs and placed on the deferral program.
James Andrew Richards Smith, 33, of Marlinton, was arrested June 29 on charges of obstructing an officer, driving under the influence, driving suspended/revoked for non-DUI and failure to stop/yield. Bond was set at $4,000. He was released from jail July 1.
Cinda R. Cassell, 33, of Durbin, was arrested June 28 on charges of disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Bond was set at $500. She was released from jail the same day.
A charge of driving under the influence, third offense against Lee Junior Wolfe, 37, of Green Bank, was transferred to circuit court June 29.
A charge of sexual assault, third degree against Beau Ryder Hawkins, 21, of Marlinton, was transferred to circuit court June 30. The same charge against Luca Jovy Byrd, 18, of Marlinton, was also transferred to circuit court the same day.

William M. Scott, 50, of Dunmore, pleaded guilty June 29 to a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 15 grams. He was assessed $159.50 in court costs, a $25 arrest fee and sentenced to 90 days in jail.
William H. Arbogast, 53, of Buckeye, pleaded guilty July 1 to charges of reckless driving and destruction of property. He was assessed a $200 fine, $321.60 in court costs and sentenced to five days in jail.
John A. Shinaberry, 37, of Cass, pleaded guilty June 29 to a charge of procuring electricity. He was assessed a $100 fine and $159.50 in court costs.
James M. Walker, 45, of Hillsboro, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of possession of marijuana, first offense. He was assessed $65.50 in court costs and placed on six months unsupervised probation.
