Magistrate Court
According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.
Leanne Mauree Holbert, 29, of Marlinton, was arrested October 29 on a charge of domestic battery. Bond was set at $2,500. She was released from jail October 30.
Ina Belle Pennington, 37, of Marlinton, was arrested October 30 on a charge of battery. Bond was set at $1,000. She was released from jail the same day.
Ferrell Gene Kelly, 47, of Cass, was arrested October 29 on seven counts of forgery and seven counts of uttering. Bond was set at $35,000. He is currently lodged at Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
George Bradley Sewell, 29, of Hillsboro, was arrested October 29 on charges of grand larceny and receiving or transferring stolen goods. Bond was set at $10,000. He is currently lodged at Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
In Magistrate Kathy Beverage's court:
Michael Condon, of Hillsboro, was found guilty October 28 of assault. He was assessed $160.80 in court costs and placed on six months probation and ordered to have no contact with the victim.
Jeremy W. Moore, 22, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty October 30 to a charge of driving suspended/revoked for DUI. He was assessed a $100 fine, $160.80 in court costs, $25 arrest fee and sentenced to 30 days suspended jail and placed on community corrections.
Jason Todd Carr, 33, of Marlinton, was found guilty October 12 of public intoxication and fleeing from an officer on foot. He was assessed a $110 fine and $321.60 in court costs, $81.50 in additional fees and sentenced to six months suspended jail and placed on probation.
Two counts of conspiring against Jeremy Duane Moore, 24, of Marlinton, were transferred to circuit court October 26.
Charges of breaking and entering and conspiring against Travis Allen Rider, 23, of Marlinton, were transferred to circuit court October 26.
Correction: Steven Hunter Sharp, 24, of Marlinton, pleaded no contest October 18 to a charge of driving under the influence, first offense due to a plea agreement. The charge was reduced from driving under the influence, second offense.
