According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.
Robert J. Varipapa, Jr., 23, of Fredricksburg, Virginia, appeared in court January 31 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 15 grams. He was placed on six months unsupervised probation and assessed $166.80 in court costs.
Cody Allen Francisco, 23, of Marlinton, appeared in court February 8 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 15 grams. He was placed on six months unsupervised probation and assessed $166.80 in court costs.
Keith A. Smith, 35, of Oxon Hill, Maryland, was arrested February 9 on charges of obstructing an officer and battery. Bond was set at $1,000.
Roger Warren Teter, 37, of Buckeye, was arrested February 11 on charges of obstructing an officer, battery on a police officer and entering without breaking. Bond was set at $8,500.
Ryan D. Williams, 30, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, was arrested February 13 on a charge of driving under the influence. Bond was set at $1,000.
Charles Edman Fogus, 41, of Buckeye, was arrested February 7 on a charge of voluntary manslaughter. Bond was set at $25,000.
April Gumm, 40, of Marlinton, was arrested February 9 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $5,000.
Christopher Gumm, 32, of Marlinton, was arrested February 9 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and felon in possession of a firearm. Bond was set at $10,000.
Catherine Stalnaker, 65, of Marlinton, was arrested February 9 on charges of four counts of possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $20,000.

Christopher M. Gibson, 33, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty February 7 to a charge of failure to register or provide notice of changes as a sex offender. He was assessed a $250 fine, $160.80 in court costs and $12 in additional fees. He was sentenced to one year suspended jail and placed on probation.

Derrick L. Kerr, 23, of Marlinton, pleaded no contest February 10 to two counts worthless check complaint. He was assessed a $10 fine, $326.60 in court costs, a $50 notice fee and $129 worthless checks.
Cory Alderman, 26, of Marlinton, pleaded no contest February 9 to a charge of battery. He was assessed a $50 fine and $160.80 in court costs.
Bryan Dewitt Thompson, 49, of Hillsboro, was arrested February 3 on a bench warrant from Pocahontas County Circuit Court. Thompson failed to appear for a 2007 arraignment on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and felony delivery of a controlled substance.
A charge of obstructing an officer against Phillip Rauch, 52, of New Market, Virginia, was dismissed February 10 by Prosecuting Attorney Donna Price. The counselor at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail is arranging mental health services.
