Accident Reports
June 23: Edgar Davis Evans, 38, of Marlinton, was traveling in a 1992 Ford F-150 near Cass when he ran off the road and hit a culvert and tree. Sheriff’s Department Deputy B.A. Shinaberry investigated. No citations were issued.
July 1: Kyle Fleming, 19, of Zanesville, Ohio, was driving a 1999 Subaru Legacy south on Snowshoe Drive and lost control. The vehicle ran off the roadway edge and struck an embankment. Fleming was issued a citation for driving under the influence. Sheriff’s Department Corporal D.M. Brock investigated.
July 2: David Buck, 27, of Green Bank, driving a 2006 Nissan Frontier and Chase Alan Walther, 29, of Durbin, driving a 2002 Hyundai Sante Fe, slid into each other on a gravel road near Green Bank. Deputy Shinaberry investigated. No citations were issued.
July 11: Albert T. Ardizzone, 74, of Clifton, New Jersey, was traveling on Route 28 on a 2009 Harley Davidson Dyna Fat when he ran off the road and hit an embankment. Deputy Shinaberry investigated. No citations were issued.
July 13: Harry Fisher, 31, of Green Bank was driving a 2009 GMC Sierra near Bartow, when he slowed to turn into a driveway on the left side of the road. A 2001 International Log Truck, driven by Jamie Trent Will, 35, of Monterey, Virginia, pulled into the left lane to pass Fisher, and side-swiped his vehicle. Deputy Shinaberry investigated. No citations were issued.
July 25: Omer Von Trapp, 54, of Rustburg, Virginia, was driving a Mack 2012 truck for Petroleum Transport Company, traveling north on West Virginia Route 28 when he ran off the eastern roadway edge into a ditch. The vehicle rolled onto its right side and came to a rest. The truck damaged 70 feet of fence and 11 posts. Sheriff’s Department Deputy B.E. Nelson investigated. No citations were issued.
