Magistrate Court
According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.
Emery D. Grimes, age unavailable, of Durbin, appeared in court August 17 on a charge of worthless check complaint. He was assessed a $10 fine, $185.80 in court costs and ordered to pay $225 in restitution to Appalachian Sport in Marlinton.
Blaine M. Moore, 29, of Dayton, Ohio, was arrested August 18 on a charge of driving under the influence. Bond was set at $1,000.
Bobby Lee Harrah, 32, of Green Sulphur Springs, was arrested August 18 on a charge of driving suspended/revoked for DUI. Bond was set at $1,000.
Stephen Michael McNally, 59, of Arbovale, appeared in court August 23 on a charge of failure to stop/yield. Bond was set at $500.
Tommi Michelle Robinson, 20, of Marlinton, was arrested August 23 on a charge of obstructing an officer. Bond was set at $500.
Dustin Keith Turner, 35, of Marlinton, was arrested August 24 on a charge of driving under the influence. Bond was set at $1,000.
In Magistrate Kathy Beverage’s court:
Samuel Edward Records, 23, of Marlinton, was found guilty August 20 of a charge of speeding. The charge was reduced to 43 mph in a 35 zone. He was assessed an $8 fine and $165.80 in court costs.
In Magistrate Janet Kershner-Vanover’s court:
Angela Riffey, age unavailable, of Green Bank, pleaded no contest August 22 to two counts of worthless check complaint. She was assessed a $2 fine, $321.60 in court costs, $50 worthless check notice fee, $12 bank service charge and $73.18 in check amounts.
A charge of destruction of property against Michael May, location and age unavailable, was dismissed August 22.
Jason T. Cassell, 32, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty August 23 to a charge of driving under the influence, second offense. He was assessed $165.80 in court costs, $55 in additional fees and sentenced to six months suspended jail and placed on six months of Day Report.
