Area businesses recognized for charity support
Lodge 104 of the Fraternal Order of Police recognized several area businesses for their support of the 2010 Randy Bolyard Memorial Poker Run. Money raised from the annual motorcycle ride supports college scholarships for high school students pursuing law enforcement careers. Lodge 104 Pocahontas County representative James Schepleng presented certificates of appreciation on Friday.
Business supporters, not present for the presentations, included Rose's Excavating (which has donated for the last two years), Mitchell Chevrolet, Knicely Insurance, Marlinton Dixie Chopper, Gunter's General Store, Alderman's Excavating, The Corner Station, H and C Country Mart, Boyer Motel and Restaurant, Hermitage Exxon, Kinder's Market, Murphy's Body and Repair and Mama's Kitchen.
