Wednesday, May 11, 2011 - 5:54am
In an order issued Tuesday evening, the West Virginia Public Service Commission (PSC) gave the Pocahontas County Public Service District (PSD) 45 days to obtain Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) approval for a decentralized sewage system for the Snowshoe area.
If the DEP approves the concept within 45 days, the PSD will be authorized to proceed with Phase I of an engineering agreement with Waste Water Management, Inc., which includes a preliminary engineering report and the preliminary design phase.
The PSC order is being reviewed at this time and more details will be posted as soon as possible.
