Why did you join the Honor Corps?

It is a great honor to serve the veterans and the country and to perform the military rites. The Pocahontas County Honor Corps has a group of great, dedicated people, and it is an honor to serve alongside them in this group.

What were your duties in the Army?

Armor Sherman Tank crew member and later as an explosive specialist with the combat engineers.

What advice do you have for new recruits?

Get advanced training in something you like to do and can make a living doing. There are a lot of opportunities out there either in military or private sectors. Learn and understand your options and act on them.
