Why did you join the Honor Corps?

Itﾒs an important job to serve the veterans. I know what they went through, and I enjoy honoring them.

Why did you join the Air Force?

A buddy and I went to Beckley to enlist and they sent us to Texas. I spent 28 months overseas in Okinawa, Japan, Korea and Guam.

What were your duties?

I was a jet mechanic. I started working on T-33 trainer planes, then worked on F-86 fighter planes, B-47 bomber planes and F-100B fighter planes.


What advice do you have for new recruits?

I think it would be good for a lot of people. You learn discipline and get to travel a lot. I had a chance to go on to get a college degree.
