County commission meeting

The Pocahontas County Commission met Tuesday night to discuss several topics, but focused onᅠ threeᅠ issues.

ユCameras in the Durbin Magistrate's Office cause disagreement between Magistrate Janet Kershner-Vanover and Sheriff David Jonese. Jonese said the cameras stay.

ユ9-1-1 Mapping and Addressing is only a third of the way finished in four and a half years. The outlook for having the project completed and meshed with US Postal Service addressing does not look good.

ユCommunity Corrections has fewer participants in the Day Report Program.

In other business, commissioners voted to match funds for two grants, awarded the heating oil contract for the courthouse, advanced Hotel/Motel Tax funds to PMH and other agenda items.
