Students tickle the ivories at Spring recital

Piano students of Julia Bauserman performed a special Spring recital for friends and family June 10 at the Durbin Church of the Brethren.

Nate Mackenzie, of Hightown, Virginia, opened the show with モIndian Song,ヤ モPurple Cow,ヤ Barrel of Monkeysヤ and モO, How I Love Jesus.ヤ

Kate Mackenzie, with the assistance of Bauserman, performed モDeep and Wide,ヤ モPraise God from Whom All Blessings Flow,ヤ モDo, Lordヤ and モStand Up, Stand Up for Jesus.ヤ

Cole Mackenzie performed モHanon/Schaum Finger Calisthenics, #5 and #6,ヤ モJerichoヤ and モGreensleeves.ヤ

Arbovale resident Marilyn Creager performed モRock oメ My Soul,ヤ モYesterdayヤ and モThink of Meヤ from The Phantom of the Opera.

After her studentsメ performances, Bauserman joined mandolinist Jared Morton, of Green Bank, in performing モOld Joe Clark,ヤ モWildwood Flower,ヤ モJesu, Joy of Manメs Desiring,ヤ モSomewhere Over the Rainbowヤ with alternate lyrics written by Morton, and モBe Thou My Vision.ヤ

Bauserman closed the recital with a special performance of モWhat Child is This?ヤ on a harp, which was made for her by Morton.
