Piano students of Julia Bauserman performed a special Spring recital for friends and family June 10 at the Durbin Church of the Brethren.

Nate Mackenzie, of Hightown, Virginia, opened the show with ﾓIndian Song,ﾔ ﾓPurple Cow,ﾔ Barrel of Monkeysﾔ and ﾓO, How I Love Jesus.ﾔ

Kate Mackenzie, with the assistance of Bauserman, performed ﾓDeep and Wide,ﾔ ﾓPraise God from Whom All Blessings Flow,ﾔ ﾓDo, Lordﾔ and ﾓStand Up, Stand Up for Jesus.ﾔ

Cole Mackenzie performed ﾓHanon/Schaum Finger Calisthenics, #5 and #6,ﾔ ﾓJerichoﾔ and ﾓGreensleeves.ﾔ

Arbovale resident Marilyn Creager performed ﾓRock oﾒ My Soul,ﾔ ﾓYesterdayﾔ and ﾓThink of Meﾔ from The Phantom of the Opera.

After her studentsﾒ performances, Bauserman joined mandolinist Jared Morton, of Green Bank, in performing ﾓOld Joe Clark,ﾔ ﾓWildwood Flower,ﾔ ﾓJesu, Joy of Manﾒs Desiring,ﾔ ﾓSomewhere Over the Rainbowﾔ with alternate lyrics written by Morton, and ﾓBe Thou My Vision.ﾔ

Bauserman closed the recital with a special performance of ﾓWhat Child is This?ﾔ on a harp, which was made for her by Morton.
