The Baxter Presbyterian Church annual Harvest Day will be Saturday, September 29. The day will feature the community quilt, displayed above by George and Kestra Pritchard, and will begin with a church service at 11 a.m., followed by dinner. The auction will be held at the Dunmore Community Center. The quilt is the 77th of its kind to be sold at the auction. The first quilt was made by Ada “Granny” Grimes in the 1940s. This years quilt consists of 20 squares made by members of the church and Dunmore community. All proceeds from the sale benefit the church.
