The staff at the The Pocahontas Times worked feverishly to produce this week's edition between two long power outages that affected Marlinton and much of Pocahontas County as the remnants of Hurricane Sandy battered the region.

While the paper was produced and electronically delivered to a back-up printer in Parkersburg Tuesday evening, delivery of the finished product to Marlinton from Elkins was delayed because of the snow and long lines at gas stations in the Elkins area.

Nonetheless, the staff clocked into work early Thursday morning to label, bundle and deliver papers to the Marlinton post office by 10 a.m.

Marlinton area residents should see normal delivery of their papers today, while other customers will receive this week's edition a day later than usual.

This week's e-Edition of The Pocahontas Times will go live, as scheduled, by noon today.
