With a green light from all involved, the Northern Pocahontas Community Wellness committee is ready to revamp the Green Bank Elementary-Middle School Annex for the temporary center site.

The committee plans to remove a closet and sink from the room, as well as clean, paint and fix wiring before moving the equipment in.

Demolition and electrical work took place Monday, and on Tuesday, volunteers cleaned and patched the walls.

Saturday, volunteers will continue to clean and paint. Volunteers who wish to help may contact VISTA Lindsey Sutton at 304-456-5070.

The wellness committee is also looking for volunteers to assist with running the center once it opens. Anyone interested may contact Sutton or Lauren Bennett at 304-799-7386.
