Magistrate Court
According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.
Natasha Elaine Trainer, 22, of Marlinton, appeared in court September 25 on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Bond was set at $100.
Carla Lynn Johnson, 27, of Hillsboro, appeared in court September 25 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $500.
Jacob Bennett, 24, of Marlinton, was arrested September 26 on a charge of unlawful/malicious wounding. Bond was set at $5,000.
Melissa Ryder, 27, of Arbovale, was arrested September 27 on a charge of battery. Bond was set a $1,000.
Jason Travis Cassell, 32, of Marlinton, was arrested September 28 on a charge of driving under the influence, third offense. Bond was set at $5,000.
The following seven people were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation since March. The Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Department worked on the investigation in conjunction with the West Virginia State Police and federal agents. Sheriff David Jonese said there are more charges pending.
Teresa Teter AKA Teresa Morrison, 46, of Marlinton, was arrested September 29 on 15 counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Bond was set at $150,000.
George Gary Hissom, 61, of Marlinton, was arrested September 29 on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Bond was set at $10,000.
Kim Hissom, 29, of Marlinton, was arrested September 29 on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Bond was set at $10,000.
David Gary Hissom, 42, of Marlinton, was arrested September 29 on three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Bond was set at $30,000.
Kristopher D. Nutter, 33, of Marlinton, was arrested September 29 on six counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Bond was set at $60,000.
Charlie Fogus, 43, of Marlinton, was arrested September 29 on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Bond was set at $10,000.
Randall Bennett, 55, of Marlinton, was arrested September 29 on a charge of conspiracy. Bond was set at $10,000.
In Magistrate Kathy Beverage’s court:
Stewart A. Wenhold, III, 49, of Marlinton, was found guilty September 14 on charges of keeping a vicious dog and dog running at large. He was assessed a $200 fine and $321.60 in court costs. Wenhold is ordered to keep the dog in a pen or tie up at all times, and led on a leash by an adult. If the dog is caught running at large or bites someone, it will be euthanized.
