Magistrate Court
According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.
Tony Sherill Woodard, 42, of Clayton, North Carolina, appeared in court March 13 on a charge of battery. Bond was set at $500. Magistrate Cynthia Broce Kelley was assigned the case.
Brittany Joy Hoke, 23, of Hillsboro, was arrested March 13 by Cpl. D.M. Brock on charges of hit and run, and failure to maintain control. Bond was set at $1,500. Magistrate Kelley was assigned the case.
Christopher Dustin Vilain, 28, of Charleston, was arrested March 13 by Cpl. M.A. Agee on a charge of obstructing an officer. Bond was set at $1,000. Magistrate Carrie Wilfong was assigned the case.
Judy L. Tincher, 48, of Hillsboro, was arrested March 15 by Capt. T.A. McCoy on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $5,000.
John W. Bawgus, 27, of Marlinton, was arrested March 16 by Tpr. R.A. Waid on charges of battery, public intoxication, disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer. Bond was set at $2,200. Magistrate Kelley was assigned the case.
Samuel Madison, 38, of Marlinton, was arrested March 18 on charges of assault and public intoxication. Bond was set at $500.
Jeremiah Powell, 31, of Hillsboro, was arrested March 11 by Deputy S.H. Hummel on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Bond was set at $2,500. Magistrate Kelley was assigned the case.
In Magistrate Wilfong’s court:
Christopher M. Gibson, 36, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty March 15 to a charge of driving suspended/revoked for DUI. He was assessed a $100 fine and $165.80 in court costs.
