For parents who struggle with finding a place for their children to go on snow days, Boyer Hill Mennonite church has a solution. Members of the church are offering a camp for students at the church.

Camp instructor Becky McGurrin said the church wants to offer a place for students to learn and play on days they arenメt in school.
モWe thought of the children who would be home alone and thought it would be nice for them to have a place to go,ヤ she said. モPlus, most moms have jobs and cannot stay home with their children.

Along with offering crafts, play time and Bible stories, the camp also assists students with their studies, whether it is with snow packets or individual subject lessons. The students are also served lunch and a snack.

McGurrin, a former teacher, is joined by another instructor, as well as two additional staff.

The camp is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. but McGurrin said they are willing to keep the children longer if parents cannot pick them up until after work.

For more information on the camp, contact McGurrin at home at 304-456-4008 or at the church at 304-456-4974.
