Rachel's Challenge schedule for Pocahontas County
The Rachel's Challenge will be held at Pocahontas County High School for all students. The schedule is as follows:
9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Assembly: Green Bank and Marlinton middle schools.
10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Assembly: Pocahontas County High School.
12:20 p.m. to 1:20 p.m.: Workshop with middle and high school students.
1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Green Bank, Marlinton and Hillsboro elementary schools.
A community forum will be held at 7 p.m. at PCHS.
Rachel's Challenge in a nonprofit organization named for Rachel Scott, the first student killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. Rachel's Challenge exists to inspire, equip and empower every person to create a permanent positive culture change in their school, business and community by starting a chain reaction of kindness and compassion. Following her death, Rachel's dedication to kindness and compassion toward others ヨᅠa legacy that spread rapidly through anecdotes and her own private writings ヨ led her family to found Rachel's Challenge.
