UPDATE: Kenneth Kelley, of Frost, brought in two articles from The Pocahontas Times from 1929, which shed light on the Frost soccer team photo. The names of the players in the front row should read Austin Sharp, Letch Sharp, E,G. Sharp, Jesse Reed and Merve Sharp.

The Frost soccer team were the state champions in 1929 and were undefeated for four straight years, 1925-1929. The Frost Club played the undefeated Newport News Shipbuilders for the interstate championship in 1929 and lost, 4-1. See next week's edition for a reprint of the two newspaper articles from 1929.
