On Friday morning, Pocahontas County Circuit Court Judge James Rowe sentenced former Durbin resident Charles Edward Stull to the maximum of 15 years in prison for the June 2010 shooting death of Durbin resident Jesse Bennett. The judge's sentencing options ranged from three to 15 years.

According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases. Gloria Walton, 64, of Hillsboro, was arrested April 16 on a charge of worthless check complaint. Bond was set at $500. Magistrate Carrie Wilfong was assigned the case.
