Harold Chappell “Hum” VanReenen, age 69, a resident of Alpena, departed life early Thursday morning, December 13, 2012, at the Davis Memorial Hospital Emergency Department. He had been in declining health although death was unexpected.

Family will receive friends Saturday, December 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lohr and Barb Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral service is Sunday, December 15, 1:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry A. Burgess officiating. Interment will be in the Alpena Cemetery.
