Summer festivals always promote fun for families and children of all ages, but at Durbin Days Heritage Festival, they also include four-legged and scaly friends.

Pets will be the center of attention Wednesday, July 13, at the Durbin Days pet show.

Held on the landing platform at the depot, the pet show is a great place to show off your best friend, whether he’s a dog, rabbit or snake.

Categories include: best costume, cutest ears, most photogenic, best friend with owner, best trick and best in show.

Registration is 5:30 p.m. with the competition kicking off at 6 p.m. so this year, don’t leave Fido at home. Bring him to Durbin Days and you both might come home a winner.
