The PCHS Boys Soccer Team, (2-2-2) after six matches, was ranked #14 in the first 2011 rankings for the week ending September 3, an exact repeat of their initial 2010 ranking.
The PCHS Girls Soccer Team (1-3-1) ranked #19 in the first 2011 rankings for the week ending September 3. Their 2010 initial ranking was #6. Ten Class AA and AAA top-20 teams are on the Lady Warriors schedule this year including all of the top seven squads in A/AA.
The 2011 Pocahontas County High School Boys Track Team,coached by Mike Knisely, finished in eighth place in Class A and scored 35 points (23 teams scoring) at the West Virginia High School State Track Meet held Friday and Saturday, May 20-21, at Laidley Field.ᅠ
