Veterans History Project

The Pocahontas Times is conducting interviews of war veterans to submit to the Library of Congress Veterans History Project for permanent inclusion in a national collection. The Veterans History Project collects first-hand accounts of veterans from WWI and WWII; the Korean, Vietnam and Persian Gulf wars and the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. In addition, those U.S. citizen civilians who were actively involved in supporting war efforts (such as war industry workers, USO workers, flight instructors, medical volunteers, etc.) are also invited to share their valuable stories. Please contact Geoff Hamill at 304-799-4973 if you are a veteran who would like to participate or know a veteran who would like to participate.
