The Pocahontas County Warriors scored early and often in a 16-3 shellacking of the Richwood Lumberjacks on Monday afternoon. The win is the first of the season for the Warriors, who were hampered by bad weather and a total lack of outdoor practice early in the season.

Pocahontas County High School girls basketball head coach Mike Kane attended the Region 2 sectional basketball seeding meeting on Sunday, February 10. Coaches could attend the meeting or just mail in their ballots to seed the teams.
