Track stars earn gold at State Track Meet
"I am very proud of all the boys that participated in the state meet.," Coach Mike Knisely said. " Most set personal best marks in their events. The whole goal is to peak when it comes to the performance at the state meet, and our kids always seem to be at their best when it counts!
"I was very happy for Tanner Graham that he achieved his goal as an individual state champion in the 400m.
"On the other hand I was disappointed for Evan Rose that he did not win the discus. He has worked extremely hard preparing, but came up a couple of feet short. He, as well as all of the other athletes, gave their best effort and represented their school, county, and families in a very positive way.
"As a Coach that is all you can ever ask for. That is one of the main things that ᅠmakes being involved in athletics in Pocahontas County such a joy.
"As I travel around the state to different athletic events, not all of the athletes represent themselves in such a positive manner."
