The three teams of the Pocahontas County Youth Football League played the New River Patriots, of Midland Trail, on Saturday, August 27, at home.

The Peanut team fell to the Patriots 38-0, while the JV and Varsity teams came out winners in the afternoon competion.

The Warrior Junior Varsity upset the New River Patriots by a score of 28-6, while the Varisty did nearly as well with a win of 22 to 12.
This league of players will take on the Alderson Chiefs Saturday, September 3, at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Marlinton Elementary School football field.
