When the 2011-12 Green Bank Lady Eagles basketball season came to an end, the girls team had won the Pendleton County Tournament, the Pocahontas County Tournament and brought home the Academic Trophy.

Above all, the varsity girls ended the season with a perfect 19-0 record.

According to their coaches, these young ladies accomplished this remarkable feat through dedication, determination, teamwork, hours and hours of practice and simply a will to win. Although small in stature, the ladies always found a way to handle the bigger and much taller girls from the opposing teams. The perfect record is a wonderful accomplishment and one of which they should be very proud.
