Boys Basketball

The Warriors have spent the past few weeks preparing for the season and their hard work is about to be tested in their first game at Bath County, Virginia, on December 15, at 6 p.m. They will host the first home game of theﾠ season against East Hardy December 18, at 6.

The Lady Warriors won their first games of the season, when they hosted rival Tygarts Valley Lady Bulldogs on December 11. The JV squad had a 49-33 victory, and then the Varsity had a 65-55 win.

They next travel to Woodrow Wilson on December 13. The game will start at 5:30.

The Lady Warriors participate in the Pit Row Classic on December 15 and 16.

Football

A quick flashback to football is in order to announce that two of our seniors have received state recognition. Jesse Burdette, who has started four years at halfback and three at cornerback for the Warriors, was named First Team All State.

Aaron Pugh a three-and-a-half year starting offensive and defensive lineman was named to the Special Honorable Mention Team.
