The seventh-ranked Lady Warriors (3-2) were upset by unranked Tygarts Valley 42-46 last Monday in Dunmore.

The game was the first for PCHS since claiming the Allegheny Mountain Radio (AMR) Tournament title on December 29.

The two-week layover proved detrimental to the Lady Warriors.

The Bulldogs (4-2) jumped out to a 9-8 lead at the end of the first quarter before PCHS went on a 15-10 scoring run in the second to take a 23-19 lead into the locker room at the half.

Tygarts Valley fought back in the third quarter outscoring the Lady Warriors 15-8 to retake the lead at 34-31 going into the final stanza.

PCHS tied the game on three occasions and even possessed a three-point leadﾠ in the fourth quarter, but the more experienced Bulldogs held on and pulled out the win.

Junior Shelby Snead scored a game-high 15 points on five three-point field goals to lead the Lady Warriors.

Sophomore Chloe Bland racked up another double-double performance on the season with 11 points and a team-high 13 rebounds.

Classmate Miranda McNabb recorded a team-high three blocked shots.

Sophomore Erin White handed out a team-high three assists.
Bland, McNabb and junior Elizabeth Arbogast notched a team-high three thefts each to pace the PCHS defensive attack.

The Lady Warriors (1-0) junior varsity squad dropped visiting Tygarts Valley 42-24 to pick up their first win of the season.

PCHS dominated the Bulldogs leading from tip-off until the final whistle despite only scoring one point in the third quarter.
Sophomore Sarah Jonese led the Lady Warriors in scoring with 15 points.

Jonese was a strong presence from behind the arc, nailing four three-point field goals.

Freshmen Alicia Cadrette and Heather Snead chipped in eight points each.

PCHS rebounded from their Monday night loss to Tygarts Valley with a 60-28 rout of visiting Richwood (3-3) Friday to climb to 4-2 on the season.

The Lady Warriors led 14-7 after the first quarter and stretched their lead to 29-13 at the end of the second.

The Lumberjacks were unable to rally in the second half.
PCHS outscored Richwood 18-7 in the third and 13-8 in the fourth to clinch the win.

Sophomore Lyndsey Barlow led all scorers with 11 points.

Classmate Chloe Bland also landed in double-figures on the night with 10 points for the Lady Warriors.

Bland tallied her third consecutive double-double performance of the season with a team-high 18 rebounds.

Junior Shelby Snead dished out a team-high four assists and grabbed a team-high six steals.

Freshman Heather Snead came off the bench for the Lady Warriors to grab a career-high nine rebounds.

Classmate Karen Wilfong added nine points.

The Lady Warrior JV squad remained unbeaten as they demolished visiting Richwood 56-9 last Friday.

PCHS put the contest out of reach early as they surged to a 19-0 lead at the end of the opening quarter.

The Lumberjacks were unable to claw their way back into the contest.

The tenacious Lady Warriors allowed a mere nine points over the duration of the contest.

Freshman Alyssa Nottingham led PCHS in scoring with 11 points.
Junior Karen Wilfong added 10 points.

The Lady Warriors (5-2) continued their two-game win streak with a 73-28 blowout over visiting Pendleton County on Saturday.

Pocahontas County exploded for 41 points in the first half while holding the Wildcats (4-6) to 14.

The Lady Warriors continued to apply pressure on both ends of the floor in the second half.

The Wildcats were unable to respond and chip away at the deficit.

Freshman Heather Snead scored a career-high 15 points to lead the Lady Warriors.

Sophomore Chloe Bland added 14 points and a team-high 12 rebounds to record her fourth double-double performance of the season.

Junior Shelby Snead chipped in nine points and dished out a team-high three assists.

Sophomore Erin White and Shelby Snead led the PCHS defense with five steals each.

Pendleton County fought off a valiant PCHS fourth quarter scoring run to escape with a 38-35 win Saturday.

The loss was the first of the season for the Lady Warrior JV squad.

PCHS (2-1) trailed 9-18 at halftime and continued to falter early in the second half as the Wildcats went on a 13-8 scoring run in the third quarter.

The Lady Warriors refused to surrender without a fight and answered with an 18-7 scoring run in the fourth, but we unable to take the lead.

Sophomore Sarah Jonese led PCHS with 11 points.

Freshman Olivia Workman chipped in eight points.

The tenth-ranked Warriors climbed to 4-0 on the season with a hard-fought 69-64 road win at East Hardy (4-2) Monday.

Senior Jimmy Wiley scored 13 of his game-high 24 points in the first quarter to help propel PCHS to a slim 23-21 lead early.

The Cougars responded with an 18-15 scoring run in the second to take a 39-38 lead at halftime.

East Hardy added one point to their lead in the third quarter.

The Warriors grabbed the momentum in the final frame as they gradually erased the Cougar lead.

Junior Lakota Joneseﾒs three-point field goal at the 1:32 mark gave PCHS their first lead of the second half at 65-62.

Seniors Jerry Simonin and Wiley combined for four free throws in the waning seconds to clinch the win.

Wileyﾒs all-around performance included team-highs in assists (6), rebounds (8), and steals (4).

Simonin and Jonese finished with 13 points each.

Sophomore Jed Sheets also scored in double-figures with 10 points.

Junior Tanner Graham recorded the remaining nine Warrior points of the night.

The Warriors (5-0) picked up their second road win of the week as they dropped Richwood 76-72 Friday.

Both teams traded baskets during the first half and were gridlocked at 20-20 after one quarter of play and 35-35 at halftime.

PCHS grabbed a two-point edge over the winless Lumberjacks (0-4) at 42-40 going into the final stanza.

Sophomore Jed Sheets and seniors Jimmy Wiley and Jerry Simonin combined to hit 12-of-13 free throw attempts in the fourth quarter to ice the win.

Simonin finished with a game-high 26 points.

Wiley added another double-double to his season tally with 24 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.

Sheets chipped in 11 points and dished out a team-high seven assists.

Wiley led the Warrior defense with four steals.

Junior Tanner Graham recorded the only blocked shot for PCHS.

The Warriors (6-0) remained undefeated as they cruised to a 63-40 win over visiting Tygarts Valley Saturday.

PCHS owned a 19-13 edge at the close of the first quarter and continued to gradually pull away for a 34-24 halftime lead.

The Bulldogs kept play closer in the third quarter and the Warrior lead grew by only one point.

PCHS ended any hope of a comeback for Tygarts Valley as they went on a 17-5 scoring run in the fourth quarter to clinch their third win of the week.

Seniors Jimmy Wiley and Jerry Simonin led the Warriors in scoring with 20 points each.

Wiley earned his second double-double in as many games as he added a team-high 10 boards to his point tally.

Junior Tanner Graham also finished in double-figures with 12 points.

Simonin and Wiley both handed out a team-high four assists.

Simonin led the PCHS defense with three steals.
