The eighth-ranked Lady Warriors climbed to 10-4 with a 54-23 blowout victory at East Hardy (3-7) Monday night.

PCHS swept the regular season series (2-0) with the win, having downed the Cougars 59-48 back on January 23.

The Lady Warriors set the pace early with a 29-12 first half scoring explosion.

Junior Shelby Snead knocked down eight points to help lift PCHS to a 16-8 first quarter advantage.

Sophomore Miranda McNabb stepped in and scored 9-of-13 Lady Warrior points in the second quarter.

Classmate Lyndsey Barlow opened the second half scoring six of her eight points on the night during a 17-3 PCHS third quarter scoring run.

McNabb led all scorers with a season-high 16 points.

Snead finished with 12 points and a team-high four assists.

Sophomore Chloe Bland grabbed a team-high eight rebounds and added six points.

Classmate Erin White led the Lady Warrior defense with five steals.

Freshman Sara Jonese came off the bench for a team-high two blocked shots.

The Lady Warriors JV squad improved to 7-3 with a 45-11 rout at East Hardy last Monday.

PCHS hammered the Cougars with a 19-3 scoring run in the opening quarter.

The Lady Warriors continued to dominate East Hardy in the second quarter and possessed a 29-7 halftime lead.

The Cougars and PCHS combined for only six points in the third before the Lady Warriors put the game away with a 12-2 fourth quarter effort.

The Lady Warriors utilized a well-balanced scoring attack with eight players scoring to overpower East Hardy.

Junior Karen Wilfong led PCHS in scoring with a game-high 16 points.

Freshman Alyssa Nottingham added eight points.

The seventh-ranked Warriors (9-2) cruised to a 75-62 win at Tygarts Valley (2-9) last Wednesday to sweep the regular season series (2-0).

PCHS pounded the Bulldogs 63-40 on January 16.

Junior Lakota Jonese fired in 11 of his team-high 21 points in the first quarter to help give the Warriors a 23-18 edge early.

Both teams scored 15 points in the second quarter, with PCHS clinging to a 38-33 halftime lead.

Junior Jimmy Wiley took control in the third quarter knocking down 13 points in a 22-12 scoring run that gave PCHS a 15-point lead heading into the final frame.

The Bulldogs managed to outscore the Warriors in the fourth quarter 17-15, but were unable to close the gap.

Wiley finished with 17 points and seven rebounds on the night.

Classmate Jerry Simonin and junior Tanner Graham also landed in double-figures.

Graham chipped in 14 points while Simonin recorded 13.

Sophomore Jed Sheets dished out a team-high eight assists and scored eight points.

Jonese added a team-high nine rebounds to his 21 points, narrowly missing a double-double.
