PCHS Track Teamsᅠ do well at third Richwood meet

The PCHS Track Teams headed over Kinnison Mountain on Thursday, April 22, for their third track meet this season.ᅠ The Warriors were minus the nine boys who competed at Doddridge on Friday, April 23, but several backup Warriors met the challenge.

Coach Kay Wileyメs girls team had their best showing this season. ᅠRichwood finished first, Class AA Webster County second, PCHS third, and Midland Trail fourth in both the boys and girls meets.

Bringing home gold for PCHS were:ᅠ senior Laurel Fisher - Discus, freshman Olivia Workman - 800m, and the boys 4x400 and 4x800m relay teams.

Collecting silver:ᅠ the girls 4x100, 4x800 and shuttle hurdle relay teams, Workman - 400m, junior Seth Doss - 100m, Kelley - 400m, junior Alex Rodrigues - 800m, Pyles - 3200m, and the boys 4x100m relay team.

Finishing with bronze:ᅠ senior Joy Walkup - long jump and 800m, freshman Alicia Cadrette - 400m, the girls 4x200 and 4x400m relay teams, Simonin - long jump, Bennett - high jump, Painter - 100m, and the boys 4x100m relay team.

In fourth place:ᅠ Chantella Lewis - 3200m, Merandia Shinaberry - 300m low hurdles, Simonin - high jump, White - 1600m, Jairus Morton - 400m, Martin Lockman - 800m, Doss - 200m and Derek Hamman - 3200m.

Taking fifth place:ᅠ Tiffany Alexander, MacKinsey Cochran, Eleanor Bell, Emily Gibson, Lewis and Erica Rebinski.

Sixth place finishers:ᅠ Janessa Turner, Cadrette, and Kristen Beverage
