Warriors spank Bulldogs, 46-6
Kyler Doss scored four rushing TDs and Noah Pugh added two more as the Pocahontas County Warriors defeated the Tygart Valley Bulldogs, 46-6, Friday night in Dunmore.
ᅠ
The first half of the game was played in a cold, heavy downpour that turned the field into a slippery mess and contributed to several turnovers by both teams.
ᅠ
Doss took the opening kickoff 85 yards for a TD and would score twice more before the end of the quarter. With 3:06 remaining in the first quarter, Doss found running room on the left side and outran defenders for an 89-yard rushing TD.
ᅠ
After Michael Hensler blocked a Bulldog punt, putting the Warriors in good field position, Doss raced into the end zone from 34 yards out with 0:34 remaining in the opening frame.
ᅠ
Doss added a 66-yard rushing TD in the third quarter to cap an outstanding offensive performance.
ᅠ
Noah Pugh plowed through tacklers 16 yards for a TD in the second quarter and added a 66-yard rushing TD in the third quarter.
ᅠ
The Bulldogs were outmatched but played hard and showed good offensive discipline against a strong Warrior defense and executed some good-looking plays, but turnovers prevented them from scoring any offensive points.
