14 Warriors make all-conference football roster

Fourteen PCHS Warriors were named to the 2010 All-Potomac Valley Conference II (PVC) football team and LB/OL Seth Doss was named Co-Defensive Player of the Year. PVC coaches prepared the roster, which was released on November 4.

Doss was named to the first team offense and defense at ILB and OL. Other first team players include: Zach Chestnut, OLB; Brandon Gloshen, DL; Evan Rose, OLB and punter; Kyler Doss, RB and Jesse Hoke, RB.

Second team All-PVC players include: Mike Hensler, DE; Noah Pugh, OLB; David Kiner, DB; Nathan Hamons, OL; Zach Cassell, OL, Hunter Grimes, RB; Tanner Graham, WR and Skylar Knisely, QB.

Freshman Devin Rose, a rising star for the Warriors, received honorable mention for his performance at DB.

Seth Doss shared Defensive Player of the Year honors with Brandon Cassel, of Moorefield High School.

Pendleton County QB Tyler Gardiner was named the Offensive Player of the Year.

East Hardy head coach Chad Williams is the PVC Coach of the Year.

PCHS and East Hardy each had 14 players on the All-PVC roster; Pendleton County and Moorefield, 11; Tucker County, 10 and Tygart Valley, 2.

Four Potomac Valley Conference II teams made the state playoffs. No. 8 Tucker County plays a first-round game against No. 9 East Hardy;ᅠ No. 11 Pendleton County has a tough first-round contest against No. 6 Wheeling Central, and No. 14 PCHS faces off against No. 3 Bishop Donahue on November 13.
