Six PCHS baseball games have been cancelled due to bad weather and coach Mike Dipasquale provided an updated schedule with make-up games included.

Tuesday's game in Webster County was cancelled, but the forecast looked better for Wednesday's tilt in Franklin against bitter rival Pendleton County. The National Weather Service was calling for a breezy, clear day with a high of 59.

The Warrior home opener is scheduled for Thursday, April 7 at 5 p.m. against Richwood. The forecast calls for partly sunny skies and a high of 65.

The Warriors sport a record of 1-2 and have yet to play a home game.

PCHS hopes to defeat Pendleton County for the first time in school history. The Wildcats sport an 0-1 record coming into the game. Check pocahontastimes.com for Wednesday's result, weather permitting.

Richwood will be looking for revenge in their first match against Pocahontas this season. The Warriors bested the Lumberjacks in a three-game playoff series last season to win their sectional championship. Richwood has compiled a 1-4 record thus far this season.

DiPasquale conveyed gratitude to Green Bank Elementary Middle School and Principal Ruth Bland for their generosity in providing practice facilities during inclement weather.
