All the Lumberjacks needed was three outs to win a playoff game against the Pocahontas Warriors Tuesday evening. The Jacks rallied in the bottom of the sixth to take a 3-2 lead and just had to close out the game in the top of the seventh to notch a victory.

But the scrappy Warriors showed guts and determination and staged a do-or-die rally to take back the lead and win the game, 4-3.

Steve Halterman knocked in two RBIs with a single in the fifth inning and hit a hard grounder in the seventh that forced an error, resulting in a run. Brandon Hamons knocked in the game winning RBI with a single in the top of the seventh.

Junior southpaw Garrett Clark pitched a complete game for the Warriors.

The Warriors are now 2-0 in their sectional playoffs and will host the sectional championship game on Thursday, May 12 at 5 p.m. They will play the winner of Wednesday's game between Richwood and Midland Trail.

Full game details will be posted when available.
