Warriors waylay Wildcats, 40-8

The Pocahontas County Warriors were firing on all cylinders Friday night with a 40-8 shellacking of their Potomac Valley Conference rivals, the Pendleton County Wildcats.

Kyler Doss ran for 202 yards with three rushing TDs of 42, 17 and 13 yards. Jesse Taylor caught two TD passes: a 25-yarder from Devin Rose and a 12-yarder from Skylar Knisley.

The Warrior defense played nearly flawlessly and held the Wildcats scoreless until the fourth quarter. Rose returned an interception 15 yards for a TD in the second quarter.

The Warriors improve their record to 2-1 and the Wildcats fall to 1-2.

The Warriors' next opponent is powerhouse East Hardy, on September 16 at Baker.
