The Pocahontas County High School golf team won first place at Regionals September 26 at the Lewisburg Elks Club.

Cody Hill was once again low medalist with a score of 78. Teammate Andrew Morrison was second in the tournament with a score of 86.

The team bested Richwood, Midland Trail, Tygarts Valley, Fayette and Montcalm to become one of the lead eight teams to compete in the State Tournament October 4 and 5 at Oglebay Resort and Conference Center in Wheeling.

Hill, Morrison, Garrett Clark, Curtis Pyles and Cody Sharp will represent PCHS at the state tourney.
