The Pocahontas County High School Warriors lost on the road to the Pendleton County Wildcats Friday night. The loss represents the Warrior's third straight and leaves the squad with a 0-3 season record.

The Pocahontas County High School squad lost to Parkersburg Catholic at Parkersburg, 20-14. Warrior running back Kyler Doss scored two touchdowns with help from quarterback Wesley Felton.
Warrior head coach Chris Sutton said the squad is employing a “wildcat” offensive strategy.

The PCHS boys and girls soccer teams traveled to Class AAA Greenbrier East on Thursday, August 23 to open their soccer season. The Spartans held on for a 1-0 victory over the Warriors in the first match, and the East boys improved to 2-0-1 while the PCHS boys dropped to 0-1.

Retired veteran Pocahontas County High School track coach Delmos Barb was hired by the board of education to finish out the remainder of the 2011-2012 school year as head boys track coach effective April 25.

Coach Kay Wiley took the two Pocahontas County High School track teams across Kennison Mountain to Richwood on Tuesday, April 17, for the second time this season. With spring break it had been 17 days since PCHS competed in their first meet at Richwood on March 30.

Warrior forward Dillon Kelley made third team for the West Virginia Class A Boys All State Basketball Team. This season Kelley led the squad in scoring with 468 points, pulling in 120 rebounds and grabbing 14 steals.
