The 2011 Pocahontas County High School Boys Track Team,coached by Mike Knisely, finished in eighth place in Class A and scored 35 points (23 teams scoring) at the West Virginia High School State Track Meet held Friday and Saturday, May 20-21, at Laidley Field.ᅠ

The PCHS Warriors won their third sectional championship in a row with a 4-1 victory over the Midland Trail Patriots on May 12.

Brandon Hamons threw a no-hitter with nine strikeouts to lead the Pocahontas County High School Warriors to their third sectional baseball championship in three years.

All the Lumberjacks needed was three outs to win a playoff game against the Pocahontas Warriors Tuesday evening. The Jacks rallied in the bottom of the sixth to take a 3-2 lead and just had to close out the game in the top of the seventh to notch a victory.

The PCHS Warrior baseball team is having a lot of trouble on the road. The Warriors have won just a single game this season outside of Pocahontas County - the first game of the season at the Border Bash tournament in Covington on March 26.

The Class A Pocahontas County High School Track Teams traveled to the Greenbrier East Combined on Tuesday, April 19, and faced off against 15 boys and 15 girls teams and all from seven Class AA and AAA schools.

The cozy confines of Stillwell Park have been lucky for the scrappy Warrior baseball squad this season. Forced to play five games at Stillwell due to bad weather and vandalism, the Warriors are undefeated by the banks of the Greenbrier River and won three in a row there on April 19 and 21.
